Budget Impasse

Our state legislators have missed their deadline to pass a state budget, proving once
more that they are more interested in personal and partisan struggles than in fulfilling
their constitutional duties. It won't be until the lack of a budget causes a crisis with
county court systems or numerous state vendors that there will be a public outcry and
our legislators will finally pass a budget.

If the responsibility entrusted to them by their constituents isn't enough motivation to
do their jobs, maybe our attorney general should look into prosecuting the leadership
of both chambers for willful breach of their oath of office to uphold the constitution of
the state of California.
