Senate District 6 Choices

The Sept. 6 article about the 6th Senate District, "California politics, writ small," quoted Democratic Consultant David Townsend, "I think the irony is that Chris Quackenbush is probably too conservative for this Senate district, while [Debra] Ortiz is too liberal."

Townsend is correct. That's why I find it unbelievable that The Bee would dedicate 55 column inches, including quotes that indicate people in this district are not beholden to their political parties, yet The Bee conveniently failed to mention that there is also a libertarian candidate in this race.

Thirty-seven percent of the votes cast in the primary election were cast for candidates other than Ortiz and Quackenbush. I received 4,426 of those votes as the Libertarian candidate. How can The Bee ignore that?
